Tentative Reunion Plans
Friday, June 24, 2011
Meet up at the Naughti Mermaid at The Resort. This is a great place! It's outside, on the water, with live music and a fire pit. You can catch up with old friends, have some drinks and food, and listen to great music. No upfront cost involved! You'll just have to pay for your drinks and food there. Time TBA.
Saturday, June 25 (Day), 2011
- Hang out by the swimming pool
- Have a little lunch at the deli or one of the two restaurants
- Relax at the Esterra Spa & Salon: Spa services include waxing, hair, makeup, permanent make up, massages, facials, peels, masks, microdermabrasion, & wraps. Price for one hour Swedish message $72, Express manicure $28, European facial $68.
- Take a cooking class. The cooking class is usually just on Tuesday night, but they’ve offered to do one just for us. The chef demonstrates how to cook a 3 course meal and then you get to eat it, all for $25 a person. We need a minimum of 30 people to have this option.
- Take a boat trip to Ft. Myers Beach. The boat trip is complimentary for guests, and $15 for others. It seats 40, but there are options if we need to rent more. The boat goes to FM Beach, drops you off for 3 hours, and then picks you up.
- Golf scramble off-site? This will be planned if interest warrants from the survey.
Saturday, June 25 (Night), 2011
Adult get-together at the Terrace Hall (about 10 minutes from Resort). The cost of dinner, basic decorations, live DJ, and hall rental is $40 for classmates. You may also bring one adult guest for an additional $40. Time TBA.
(We did try to get the banquet hall at the Resort, but the minimum fee for food and beverages is $10,000.)
A nice thing about the Terrace Hall is that it's a non-profit organization and they use their funds to support local youth organizations- another way the Class of '86 is giving back to our community!
Payment must be receive by May 31, 2011
You may also pay by snail mail.

The Resort has an optional great breakfast brunch for $22 a person. They offer TONS OF FOOD....sushi, shrimp, salads, cheeses, salmon, breakfast breads & pastries, waffles, potatoes, bacon, sausage, eggs, omelet station, crawfish, mahi, ham, gourmet pizzas, desserts, and loads more. Should call ahead for reservations. Survey will help decide what we do with the rest of our day. Here are some options that we discussed: People could choose to hang out at the pool until check-out. If we want to do skating, the Palace has an open skate from 1:30- 4:00. It would be no up-front cost unless we had so many coming that we needed to rent out the rink. We could also look at Jaycee Park (on the river, would be nice) for a picnic/ bounce house kind of family event. Another option is SunSplash.
